Last year prior to the Oil prices taking a tumble and the Canadian dollar being so low and El Niño we had planned to go to Florida Camping for 5 weeks Xmas 2016.
My husband and I as usual had planned our trip had the dates where we planned to be and chose campgrounds and campsites on-line. In our research we found an amazing site where there are pictures of all the campsites that we ever wanted which helped us priorize the sites we would book. We were going to start booking in January. We then put the weather for Destin and Savannah up for us to see what it was like. Well El Niño really did not make for great weather with significant rains, low temperatures and flooding at many of the beach campsite areas we had planned on visiting.
Hence we made a decision that we would not go in 2016 but would wait for 2018/2019 when John is retired from the military.
Here are the sites we found that met our requirements. We have a Vista Cruiser 24RBK a dog and a Ford F-150.
These sites were useful in our planning.
